Advanced Counselling  

Advanced Counselling is a caring counselling service specializing in individuals, relationships, marriage, personal, emotional, sexual issues and more.

It is our goal to help you overcome problems, blockages and emotional concerns that may be interfering with your enjoyment of life. We provide a safe, secure and very private environment where you can discuss and work through the concerns that may be holding you back.

Our private clinic is located in Sydney in the heart of West Ryde, just 15 kilometres from Sydney CBD. It is air conditioned and beautifully appointed. Free two hour undercover parking is available in the new West Ryde Marketplace shopping centre just across the road and also in the Council car park just around the corner. It is a short walk from the West Ryde railway station and bus interchange. There are additional bus stops just metres away on Victoria Road.

As well as Counselling, we provide other services including a very private and confidential Hypnotherapy service; a comprehensive Life Coaching service; and a Pain Management Clinic to provide relief from pain using advanced remedial therapy.

Barry Shirley is the principal of Advanced Counselling. He is a registered counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association (registration 2883) and is registered on ARCAPS, the national register of Counsellors. Note, we are not psychologists but are genuine counsellors, trained as counsellors. There are no expensive, long-running and ineffective psychological services offered.

Barry is a registered Clinical Hypnotherapist with, and a recent board member of the Australian Society of Clinical Hypnotherapists (registration 2175N). He is also registered with the Australian Hypnotherapists' Association as a full practicing professional member (registration CM0208239).
